Muscat festival is one of the most popular festivals in
Oman. It helds on 19 January each year in the capital city of Oman which is
Muscat. The festival continue for only one month.
The festival is not only a celebration,it is more than
that.it is a cultural event that reflects Oman history’s and heritage. This festival
indicates our tradition by showing the visitors our traditional dancing. In addition
to that, the festival has a small exihibition that includes a lot of shops that
sell Omani clothes and foods such as Halwa and Harees. Not only that, there is
firework and lizer shows launched in the festival. So this celebration is a
combination between past and present. Traditional industry are also sell in the
festival , for instance: Khanjar, artifact…etc.there is also a large big area
for the children to play and have fun.
Many people around the world are visiting the festival
especially foreign people because they have the enthusiastic to know about
others culture.
